Urban elopements are becoming a new personal favorite of mine, and downtown Atlanta is truly an amazing elopement location. The classic architecture allows you to feel like you’re right in the middle of a bustling city without being totally overwhelmed. Together with a team of vendors, we created a nontraditional, wedding styled shoot with the stunning city of Atlanta as a backdrop in hopes of bringing inspiration to other modern brides planning the elopement of their dreams. Not only did I have so much fun putting together all the elements for this unconventional elopement, but the entire team of vendors I worked with had valuable input and ideas to bring our vision to life.
Urban Setting Brings Inspiration to Modern Wedding Style
We wanted a modern yet timeless approach to the urban elopement and to highlight that your elopement can truly be anything that you want it to be. For example, our beautiful model wore a modest yet nontraditional wedding gown: the Nassau gown from BHLDN. She absolutely rocked this modern bride look. If you’re deciding between a more traditional dress or something that has tons of personality that may push the boundaries on your typical wedding, I encourage you to not be afraid to be that brave, contemporary bride.
The Amazing Results for this Urban Wedding
Our shoot location was also completely epic: a high-rise apartment in downtown Atlanta. The light we got in this little studio was incredible. And just look at that green velvet couch! If you’re planning your own Atlanta urban elopement, consider an indoor spot with nice light and a blank slate just like this space. It will allow you and your vendors to make some serious, urban magic for your non-traditional wedding.
Elopements are one of my favorite types of celebrations, and nothing would make me happier than capturing yours in my home city of Atlanta. If you’d like to reach out to me, click here to fill out my contact form! I can’t wait to help you plan your dream city elopement.
